Ingredients

For the Veggies
  • 1 bunch Rainbow carrots peeled and halved lengthwise
  • 1 cup Mini sweet peppers halved lengthwise
  • 1 cup Snap peas halved crosswise
  • 1 head Purple cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup Radishes thinly sliced
For the Dip and Decorations
  • 1 cup Veggie dip French onion dip or hummus
  • 1 ounce Cheddar cheese cut into beak shape
  • 1/4 cup Mini sweet peppers cut into waddle shape
  • 1 pair Edible eyes
  • 1 cup Savory Thin Crackers or crackers of your choice, optional
  • 6 Pretzel sticks for legs

Equipment

  • Serving board
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Arrange the carrots around the outer edge of your serving board, fanning them out. Alternate the colors of the carrots.
  2. Add a layer of mini sweet peppers and snap peas, overlapping the carrots.
  3. Place the purple cauliflower florets in a layer, followed by another row of mini sweet peppers.
  4. Position a small bowl in the center of the board, in front of the peppers. Fill the bowl with your chosen veggie dip.
  5. Tuck a row of snap peas into the back of the dip bowl. In front of the dip, add a row of alternating mini sweet peppers.
  6. Decorate the dip to create a face: place the edible eyes on top of the dip, add the cheddar cheese beak, and attach the pepper waddle below the beak.
  7. Place the thinly sliced radishes on the sides of the board, under the veggie "feathers." Fill the space in front of the dip bowl with crackers.
  8. Finish by inserting the pretzel sticks into the front of the dip bowl to resemble legs.
