Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

Ingredients
  

For the Espresso
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 2 shots espresso
For the Drink
  • 1/2 cup milk or your preferred milk
  • ice

Equipment

  • Espresso machine
  • Espresso shot glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Glass

Method
 

  1. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, if using, to an espresso shot glass. Brew the espresso directly over the sugar and cinnamon. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Fill a serving glass with ice and pour the milk over the ice.
  3. Add at least 6 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker. Pour the brown sugar espresso mixture into the shaker. Cover tightly and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker feels frosty.
  4. Pour the shaken espresso over the milk in the serving glass. Stir gently to combine.

Notes

This recipe is a great way to enjoy a café-style drink at home. You can adjust the amount of brown sugar and cinnamon to your liking. Experiment with different types of milk for varied flavors.
